City Meet Info and Crash Map

Good afternoon Ridgeside City Meet families!

Please read this entire email carefully. There is a lot of important information here, and I would hate for you to miss any of it!

City Meet is this weekend (!!), and we are getting excited! There will be no practice tonight, Monday, July 6, or tomorrow morning, Tuesday, July 7. We will resume practice tomorrow evening with our relay exchange practice. If your swimmer can attend, it would be a huge help to the team as we work on timing and legal exchanges before this weekend.

  • 10 & Under: 6:00-6:45pm
  • 11 & Older: 6:45-7:30 m

Our City Meet Pasta Dinner will be held on Thursday, July 9, at 6:00pm! Please click HERE to RSVP, just as you would for a dual meet, and click HERE to sign up to bring an entrée, side, dessert, drink, or supplies to share. Please note that this event will be held at the McCallie School Dining Hall in the Brock-Lazenby Room.

This year, we will also have themes for each day of City Meet!

Friday: Hoedown Throwdown!
Come dressed in your boots, hats, bandanas, and western gear so we can YEE-HAW our way to fast swims!

Saturday: BLUE OUT!
Dress in blue, bring blue, wear blue, wave blue, eat blue, drink blue, and let’s show the rest of the city what the Dolphins are made of!

The team crash map and parking information are attached. Please note that available parking areas have changed slightly from previous years, so be sure to refer to the crash map for the latest layout and guidance.

The crash area will open at 4:00pm on Thursday, July 9, for setup. If you have a pop-up tent, tarp, or other “camping” gear to help shade our crash area throughout the weekend, please reach out to Katie Adams at [email protected]. She will organize setup and make sure we have everything we need.

Please also be on the lookout for another  important email from me on Wednesday with warmup times and other information to help make your City Meet experience as smooth and easy as possible. Warmup times are very strict at City Meet. If your swimmer misses their assigned warmup time, it is unlikely they will be able to warm up before the meet begins, so please read Wednesday’s email carefully when it arrives!

Thank you all for helping us make City Meet a fun, organized, and spirited weekend for our swimmers. We are so proud of this team and cannot wait to cheer on our Dolphins!

Go Dolphins!
