Good evening Dolphins!

I cannot wait to cheer on our swimmers tomorrow night for our FIRST AWAY MEET at Big Ridge!! Below is everything you need to know to help the evening run smoothly and safely:

Arrival & Warmups: Please arrive by 5:00pm so your family has time to settle in before our warmups begin at 5:15pm. The meet will kick off right at 6pm!

Parking is limited! The parking lot is small and portions of the pool property have been covered in straw - those areas are not available for parking. Big Ridge encourages us to carpool to reduce vehicles.

The Big Ridge pool has been completely renovated and the deck has gotten a bit smaller. Our Team Area will be on the side nearest lane 6 and around the baby pool. We will swim in lanes 4, 5, and 6. Look for familiar faces and sit together! THE BABY POOL IS OFF LIMITS DURING THE ENTIRITY OF OUR TIME AT BIG RIDGE. Please do your best to help keep you children out of that pool.

There is little to no shade at the Big Ridge pool. Sitting in the heat for extended periods can be dangerous for swimmers, parents, and siblings. To help stay safe and cool, we recommend bringing:

• Lots of cold water and/or Gatorade to stay hydrated
• Sunscreen - and reapply often!
• Snacks to keep energy up
• Shade items like an umbrella or tent
• Towels (multiple), cooling towels, or even a spray bottle
• Folding chairs for comfort and off-ground seating

There is minimal provided seating or shade at this location, so please come prepared!

Know the signs of heat illness: watch for dizziness, headache, nausea, fatigue, flushed skin, or confusion. If you or your swimmer feel off at any point, let a coach or volunteer know right away. Your health and safety come first - please don't hesitate to speak up if you're feeling too hot or unwell.

There's still 30 minutes left to confirm your attendance for this meet! We're excited to see our swimmers race tomorrow. Let's show Big Ridge what the Ridgeside Dolphins are made of!
