City Meet Info and Heat Sheets

City Meet Parents,

We’re looking forward to a great weekend of racing! Please take the time to read this message carefully, as it contains all the important information you’ll need to be prepared for the meet.

The preliminary session heat sheets and team crash map are available HERE. Please note that available parking areas have changed slightly from previous years. Refer to the crash map for the latest layout and guidance.

We’re also looking for a few families to bring pop-up tents to help shade our crash area throughout the weekend. If you’re able to help, please email Katie Adams at [email protected].

Warmup Times

Below are the scheduled warmup times for our team. Please arrive at least 20 minutes before these times so that you have an opportunity to park and settle in before we hop in the water. If you miss these times, you will be unable to get in the water prior to the start of the meet.

Friday

  • 10 & Under: 7:30-7:55am
  • 11 & Over: 11:50am-12:10pm

Saturday

  • 10 & Under: 7:55-8:20am
  • 11 & Over: 11:30-11:50am

This year, all 10 & Under warmups and the finals warmups will be one-way dives only. Finals warmups will also be split by age group to make them easier to navigate.

Weather Delays

We will communicate any delays due to weather via Remind. If you haven’t already, please download the Remind app and join our “class” to receive notifications from the coaches!

Live Results will be available through the MeetMobile app (not SwimTopia). Printed results will also be posted at the bulletin board by the pool’s front entrance.

Finals – Positive Check-In Required

If your swimmer qualifies for finals, in an individual event or relay, coaches will confirm those swims with you directly. Before leaving the pool each day, please check with a coach to confirm whether your swimmer is needed for finals.

Please remember swimmers must positively check in to secure their spot in finals. If a swimmer fails to scratch by the deadline and does not attend their finals swim our team will be fined, so please be sure to double check with a coach before heading out!

All 10 & Under swimmers must be checked in at the Clerk of Course by a coach.

Swimmers should report to the coaches’ tent by second call at the latest so we can walk them over as a group and ensure everyone is accounted for.

Here’s how event calls will work:

  • First Call – approximately two events before
  • Second Call – approximately one event before
  • Final Call – two heats before

The Clerk of Course runs several heats ahead of what is in the water, so getting there early is crucial. Swimmers who arrive after final call may miss their event.

The same call system applies to the 11 & Over sessions. Swimmers in this age group are responsible for getting themselves behind the blocks on time. Coaches will be nearby to assist, but swimmers must know their heat and lane, be aware of which event and heat is currently in the water, and be behind the blocks by final call. The area behind the blocks is very congested and fast moving, so swimmers should stay alert!!

We also encourage all swimmers to visit the coaches' tent after each of their swims for a treat! 😊

Thursday Pasta Dinner and Swag Bags

Don’t forget to sign up for our Pasta Dinner on Thursday night at McCallie! It’s a great way to kick off the weekend with fun, carbs, and team spirit! Katie Adams is also putting together City Meet Swag Bags for our swimmers and would love your help! We still need volunteers to contribute to Thursday night’s food and to pick up a few treats for the bags. You can sign up for both HERE.

We’re looking forward to an exciting, high-energy weekend of racing.
Go Dolphins!!
